Located in Northeast Bergen County, New Jersey in the town of River Vale, just 15 minutes from Manhattan makes this club a favorite spot for avid metropolitan golfers.

Bergen Hills Country Club, formerly known as River Vale Golf Club, opened in 1928. A lovely 18-hole course, 6,470 yards, with a par of 72 is set apart from other clubs because of its striking pedigree. Designed by premier golf architects Donald Ross (famous for designing four courses at Pinehurst, North Carolina for the Tufts family) and his associate, Orrin E. Smith, the links were conceived and carefully crafted with pitfalls and traps that are a must to avoid and tests the skill of seasoned golfers and makes it a joy to play.

Bergen Hills is a good looking well-manicured club that operates by accepting private memberships and open to the public time slots. The Club also boasts a nicely appointed restaurant and bar, men’s and women’s locker rooms, golf pro shop, practice range, and putting green.

Plans are currently in the design phase to build 107 “for sale” senior condos on adjacent acreage.
